Equity and Justice Training
and Consulting

We provide training for community members, community-based organizations, advocacy and philanthropic organizations, and public agencies around racial equity, collaborative governance, and other aspects of social justice.

Understanding Structural Racism

Structural racism is a context in which all of us live everyday; it regularly and predictably targets and harms Black, Indigenous and People of Color - and it also has a high cost for white people. This training provides participants with an understanding of what structural oppression is and how it manifests in our attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. The training provides an opportunity for participants to concretely identify how structural racism shows up in their communities and the systems they interact with and helps participants identify the scripts that shape how they show up in the world. This training provides foundational information on understanding structural racism, in order to move towards taking next steps to dismantling it.

Dismantling Anti-Blackness

This training provides participants with an understanding of anti-Black racism, a specific kind of racial prejudice directed towards Black people. We will unpack the impact of structural anti-Blackness historically through today. Participants will learn how white supremacy and anti-Black cultural norms are codified to create the systemic explicit and insidious nature of anti-Blackness that pervades the US. We will explore how the concept of race was created for the benefit of white people. This training provides a foundational understanding of anti-Blackness, in order to move towards taking next steps to dismantling it.
